Raspberry Seed CO2 Extract

INCI - Rubus Idaeus Seed Extract.


What is it - Raspberry Seed Extract is valued for its high content of antioxidants, such as vitamin E and polyphenols, which help protect the skin from free radical damage. It is also rich in essential fatty acids, particularly omega-3 and omega-6, making it excellent for moisturising and improving skin barrier function.


pH - 4-6.


Safety limit - Typically used up to 5%.


Formulas used in - serums, facial oils, moisturisers, sunscreens, lip balms, eye creams, anti-ageing creams, after-sun lotions, and hair conditioners.


Formulation notes - Soluble in fats - suitable for anhydrous formulas. Add during cool down phase in emulsions.


Odour - Characteristic.


Form - Yellow liquid.


Heat sensitivity - Up to 40°C.


Solubility - Oil soluble.


Natural / synthetic status - Natural usually however check additives added to extract as these may synthetic.


Contraindications - Raspberry seed extract is generally considered safe for most skin types. Those with allergies should take caution. Always conduct a patch test when using new ingredients.
