Strawberry Liquid Extract

INCI - Fragaria Vesca Fruit Extract.

What is it - Strawberry Fruit Extract is a botanical ingredient valued for its antioxidant, astringent, and skin-conditioning properties. It’s rich in natural acids, vitamin C, and polyphenols, which can help brighten the skin and protect against environmental stress.

pH - 4-6.

Safety limit - Typically used up to 5%.

Formulas used in - Facial cleansers, toners, serums, moisturisers, and exfoliating masks.

Formulation notes - Add during the cool down phase in emulsions.

Odour - Subtle fruity or sweet odour.

Form - Liquid.

Heat sensitivity - Up to 40°C.

Solubility - Water soluble.

Natural / synthetic status - Natural usually however check additives added to extract as these may synthetic.

Contraindications - Strawberry fruit extract is generally safe for most skin types, but may cause irritation in people with strawberry allergies or very sensitive skin due to its natural fruit acids. It can also increase sensitivity when combined with strong actives like retinoids or AHAs. It’s best avoided on compromised skin or immediately after cosmetic procedures.
